The Heavenly Malibu Beach INN

I had the absolute pleasure to stay in Malibu last week, which was actually my first visit to the area.  When I was looking up locations to stay, The Malibu Beach Inn seemed to be the highest rated, so I was excited to experience it.

I am sure most would agree that the experience sometimes begins BEFORE even arriving at the location, and I have to say that my communication with the staff for booking, concierge, etc. was extremely pleasant. Everyone was so polite, helpful, and accommodating.

Although Alexis (my eldest daughter who was assisting me at a work event in Malibu) and I weren’t able to actually check in until really late, we LOVED this Hotel from the moment we parked the car (well, valet, that is).  As soon as we walked into the entrance, there was such a relaxed, nighttime beach vibe, and we could hear and see people on the outdoor/backyard terrace eating, drinking, and enjoying the gorgeous nighttime views of the water.

The check in staff was very warm, and got us settled within minutes.  They helped us up to our room, which just blew us away. We had an ocean view room, and it was spectacular.  Although the rooms aren’t large, we felt like royalty.  As soon as we opened the door to enter the room, we could see the gorgeous ocean and hear the waves; there was a fireplace; fruit and a welcome note on the table; chocolate on the beds; robes on the beds; and a CLEAN, GORGEOUS bathroom.  As soon as the staff member left, we opened the sliding glass door and just sat on the balcony to take in this gorgeous scenery.  The sounds were magnificent. We enjoyed our fruit, and yes, we did break into the snack bar and enjoyed some yummy treats, too.

The next day, we had some time to relax so we had breakfast at The Carbon Beach Club overlooking the water, and were treated with great care by the servers.  After breakfast, we decided to sneak in an hour of sun time on the beach.   A Staff member setup lounge chairs for us.  We had forgotten to pack our sunscreen, but the hotel was stocked with a variety of high quality products available for purchase right near the welcome desk.  PERFECT!  We picked up a couple of clean towels, went down to the beach, and chilled.

We had noticed several military helicopters flying around the area, as President Obama was in town.  That was fun!

After a little bit of sun and beach time, Alexis and I came back to our rooms to prepare for our event.  Even this was relaxing, as we had the sliding glass doors open and enjoyed the waves, ocean, and gorgeous views, as we prepared.  We did order some delicious room service, including fish tacos, which was delivered quickly.  We devoured the fresh food, and then sadly checked out to a once in a lifetime experience.

I HOPE I CAN GO BACK AGAIN WITH MY HUSBAND, AS The Malibu Beach Inn is a truly romantic and elegant location.
