We stayed at The Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen for 5 nights, and we didn’t want to leave!

There has yet to be a time I visit Mexico, that I don’t appreciate the amazing service.  This time was no exception.

We were greeted so warmly, and were treated like royalty the entire visit.  We became regulars at the hotel beach cafe, where we could watch the kids go between pools, while my husband and I enjoyed veggies  con lime y chile; yummy fajitas; and an occasional fruity drink.  The music was what you hear in the movies taking place in Mexican resort cities, and EVERYONE was just happy! Why wouldn’t you be?

GORGEOUS property; an accommodating staff; fresh local food; fine sands; clear, warm water; and fun activities guaranteed the perfect time. We even took the kids jet skiing, a luxury that we can’t enjoy as a family in San Diego, as my kids are still too young.  Daniella, my 7 year old, kept saying, “that was the most fun thing I have ever done.” My 6 year old, Gabriel, didn’t appreciate the waves, as much! HAHA! But, it was so convenient that we didn’t have to leave the property to enjoy this.  The only thing I wish I would have taken advantage of what I heard were such FUN children’s activities on the other side of our hotel! I had read about them in the welcome packet, but not until we met another family from California the day before we left, did we get to hear about how much fun the kids had playing and creating cool bracelets/crafts during these hotel sponsored kids’ sessions.

Although we did choose to stay on property most of the time, we did venture out a couple of times….
