‘I love you… but you owe me $127,000’~ I don’t think I have ever heard of anything like this..
A New York aunt is suing her 12 year old nephew, who broke her wrist at his eighth birthday party … You ask why this could be even considered? Well, apparently she can no longer hold a plate of hor d’oeuvres
54 year old Jennifer Connell, is suing her 12-year-old nephew because he accidentally broke her wrist when he leaped into her arms in an elated greeting at his birthday party.
The accident took place four years ago while celebrating Sean Tarala’s eighth birthday (March 2011 weighing 50 lbs). The reports say, his aunt thinks that Sean should have known better than to jump into her arms as a means of welcoming her.
“All of a sudden, he was there in the air, I had to catch him and we tumbled on to the ground. I remember him shouting, ‘Auntie Jen, I love you,’ and there he was flying at me.”
Apparently $127,000 in damages is going to fix it.
“I live in Manhattan in a third-floor walk-up so it has been very difficult and we all know how crowded it is in Manhattan. I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvres plate,” she added.
She did tell the jury that she has a “very loving, sensitive” nephew, Jennifer believes that Sean ( whose mother died last year) and appeared in court with his father, should be held accountable.
What am I missing here? What do you think?
