Trista Sutter Throws Blakesley A Princess Birthday To Remember! Plus Win a Gift Bag Value $300. We have the inside scoop on the Fairest 3 year olds Fairest Birthday of them ALL! Blakesley Sutter turns 3!
Trista LOVES A PARTY! I am a planner by nature. Love to plan travel and schedules and get togethers with friends. I stress about it, but I love it. It’s all about the details to me and putting smiles on people’s faces…especially on those of little people! This year, we asked Blakesley what kind of party she would like to have, and she immediately said “Princess!!!!”. For More Information on the Sutter’s check out Celebrity Baby Scoop.
Were you into Princesses when you were her age? I don’t remember being into princesses, but I don’t remember anything before I was four years old, so there is a very good chance. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
What is Max’s feelings on Princesses? He doesn’t mind them. He will actually play with them with Blakesley if he isn’t racing his cars or riding bikes or drawing or playing with his dinosaurs.
Where did you have the party? Ludwig’s at The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail is our favorite spot and I tell that to everyone!!!!Chef Steve Topple worked with me on the menu…Peanut Butter and Jellies, Fruit Skewers with Yogurt Dip and Chips and Dip. Simple and Delicious.
Tell us all the details on the fabulous costumes you were all wearing!! Since Cinderella is Blakesley’s favorite princess, we had a custom Cinderella tutu made for her by Peek a Bootique and she happily put on the tiara that Ivan Hoe Couture created for her and all of her friends. We asked Max what he wanted to be and he was all about dressing up like a dragon, so I borrowed a dragon costume from a friend.
For decor, I enlisted the help of Nancy Pfeifer (the owner of A to Zebra Celebrations and a GENIUS site called My Party Is Over. She created adorable table runners, a personalized birthday banner that said “Happy Birthday Blakesley”, and a beautiful front skirt made of ribbons for the dessert table.
The room was filled with Tulle poms and Bows made by TiTisTuTus, a wrought iron carriage that I fell in love with! For each little princess invited to the party, we placed their very own tiara at their seat and we can’t forget that we had a one of a kind castle piñata by Partylycyous.
I just loved the Pin the Crown on the Princess Created by Anders Ruff . We setup a Reading section and Coloring Books filled with Disney princess sent directly from DisneyWorld (our favorite place on earth!). Throughout the party, you could find kids sitting quietly on their own or being read to by one of the parents or coloring . There’s nothing like a good book! ( photo below)
Check out the YUMMY DESSERT TABLE: The cake by Shawn at Mountain Flour. He bakes delectable tiers of vanilla with strawberries and chocolate with mousse. Kim Heimbuck makes THE cutest custom Cookies ( if you are looking for party ideas check out her blog The Partiologist). Candy.com treated us to Bubblegum colored whirl lollipops, pink sixlets, and white jelly beans.
