When Will The Bullying Stop? 16-Year-Old Girl Found Tied Up In School Bathroom

As a parent to two small children, I will tell you that I am absolutely horrified from all of the stories I hear about the horrific bullying that goes down in middle and high schools all across the country. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something that triggers kids that age to be awful people who do and say the meanest things. But yet with all the information and education we have to help prevent bullying, it seems like there still is no end in sight!

According to a new report, a 16-year-old female high school student from Washington, Seattle was allegedly assaulted and tied up in a bathroom in her high school by two other girls. While the school won’t release all the details of what happened, a police report says the victim was assaulted, tied up, and left by the two other girls early in the morning at Highline Public Schools’ Evergreen Campus.

The victim was then taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

I mean, come on people! If there is one thing we can do as parents, its to teach our children to be compassionate and comparing people. The world is evil enough as it is, and the last thing we want is for our children to feel scared and helpless in their own schools.

Parents take the time and talk to your children. There’s no excuse for peer-to-peer bullying in our nation’s schools. Let’s all come together to once and for all make it stop for the sake of our kids.
