Why You Need To Stop Weighing Yourself Everyday: The Numbers Don’t Matter!

This is probably going to make me sound like a weirdo, but I never, ever weigh myself. And when I go to the doctor’s office for my yearly check-up I actually close my eyes and turn around on the scale and ask the nurse not to tell me how much I weigh. Because I know I’m never going to be the same person I was ten years ago and that after two pregnancies my body weight has shifted to different places. And I’m fine with that because as long as I can fit into the pair of jeans I’ve been wearing for the last several years, I’m OK (or at least that’s how I feel in my head).

But actually knowing the three little digits that spell out my weight would no doubt devastate me, but it would also make me obsess over it for weeks and that’s why I’d rather not know the ugly truth.

Fortunately, there’s good news: there’s no need for us to step on a scale everyday, anyhow. According to a new report, you can both transform your body shape and stay much happier if you simply stay off the scale.
