Wine Gummy Hearts
1 cup wine ( you can use port, white or red)
4 Tbsp gelatin
1/2 tsp stevia (optional)
2 -4 Tbsp maple syrup * add a little at a time if you use a less sweet wine.
In a pot or saucepan, warm the wine on low heat, do not let it boil so the alcohol does not burn off.
Add the gelatin one Tbsp at a time and stir very well before adding more ( if your mixture gets frothy you can scoop it off.
Once the gelatin dissolves add your maple syrup – but you need to taste the mixture after adding each one to know how you want it to taste. If you like really sweet you can also add stevia.
Pour your mixture into a measuring cup and fill your mold or you can use a any glass container or pan that you can cut into pieces later.
Put in the fridge for about 10 minutes – pull out and serve
