11-Year-Old Boy Died by Suicide After Cruel Social Media Hoax

It’s hard to believe that this story is out of my home state in Michigan, but it’s one that made me take serious pause this morning. As a parent, one of my worst fears is having my child succumb to the intense pressures and darkness of social media.

As adults, it’s easy to get “sucked in” to the online world — I’ve done it myself and I know how it can feel like the “online” world is the real world.
