From the moment we find out we’re pregnant, if not before, thoughts of how you’re going to raise your little one once they make their entrance into the world start to dance around in your head.
What are they going to look like? What name will you give them? Are you going to hate labor or love it? Will you breastfeed?
These questions can sometimes bring on the nosy judgers who want to tell you there’s only one right way to do that, but we know that’s not true. When it comes to motherhood, there is only one way to do it — but that’s your way — not whatever anyone else tells you is right.
If you’re going to be breastfeeding your baby, there is such an incredible bond that goes along with it. It’s not always easy — in fact sometimes it can feel like the hardest thing you’ve ever done — but it does have its beautiful moments.
There is something powerful about seeing a mom care for her baby — whether that means bottle feeding or breastfeeding — it’s fierce and amazing. And these photos of moms breastfeeding their babies is just that — powerful, gorgeous, great, and stunning.
1. Glowing Goddess
There is so much gorgeous in this photo it’s hard to know where to look. From the water to the stunning blurred out pink behind her, this mom and her beautiful baby are pure perfection.

Shew, where do I start… Trev took this picture a few weeks ago because I’m that crazy mom who wants to document every little moment with him. I was so proud of us for making it to 6 months of exclusively breastfeeding and I still am! I love nursing him but if I’m honest the past month has been the worst… After weeks with endless pain, 3 antibiotics, and no answers I was ready to throw in the towel. Today I have learned all about Vasospasms. I don’t like them, they hurt like hell, and I have decided I’m not going to let them mess us up! I never knew how hard it would be, but it is such a rewarding labor of love! All I have to say is you go mama!! One day, one week, one month, one year doesn’t matter! It’s hard work and I think you’re amazing! #breastfeeding #baby #mom #thebump #truth #motherhood #feelgood #friday #proudmom #proud #vasospasm #ouch 📷: @trevcurtis
There is something about those middle of the night feeds when you’re tired and in bed that bring bonding together like no other. This mom was able to make it to 6 months of breastfeeding, struggling along the way, and making it to a goal that she set.
