9 Amazing Makeup Tips for Women 30 and Over

I have a confession to make: I have been wearing the same makeup colors for the last 15 years now. I don’t experiment much with my makeup and heck, I can’t even remember the last time I cleaned out my makeup bag. I just wear the same pieces (which included eyeliner, mascara, blush and a little lip balm) just so I can avoid looking like an extra from The Walking Dead whenever I leave my house.

With that being said, I’m sure that I could use a good makeup makeover. I’ve been using brown as a staple color for almost the last two decades now and I am completely over it. And there are a lot of busy moms that feel the same way as I do. That’s why our Hot Moms team has some amazing makeup tips for women on-to-go who are 30 and over. Trust me when I say that you’ll end up asking yourself how come you haven’t thought of these easy tips before!

Here are some makeup tips you’ve got to see for yourself!

1. Wear Concealer

You don’t want to look like every color of your makeup palate – choose a concealer that matches your foundation. And make sure that the department store lighting isn’t playing tricks on you, either. I swear to you that I’m often forced to do a double take after coming home with my Clinique goodies just because my lighting is different at home.

2. Focus on Lips

It’s all in the lips, darling. Pick a color that best matches your makeup scheme and your skin tone. Also, ditch the lip liner. I don’t care what Jennifer Lopez says but the 1999 look is not coming back.

3. Moisturize

Believe it or not, how often you clean and moisturize says a lot about you, your face and your makeup routine. As lazy as we often get, don’t skip out on it. And definitely don’t go to bed with your makeup on – let your face breathe while you’re sleeping at night.
