10 Reasons Why You Totally Deserve a Glass of Wine Tonight

I’m sure I don’t have to work very hard to convince you that you need to rest, relax and rewind with a glass of wine once in awhile. I mean, after a long day dealing with your moody boss (who insists on sending multiple emails each hour), your air conditioning that just broke down in the middle of the summer (happens each and every time!) a husband who can’t locate his shoes and keys and kids that just make you go bat sh*t crazy, you deserve it, mama.

In fact, you don’t just deserve it, you need it for your sanity.

Here are just a few reasons why you need a glass of wine tonight!

1. It Helps Your Relax

I don’t know anything that helps me rewind more than a good glass of wine. Alcohol is like a depressant that helps calm certain parts of the brain. This may help you to feel more relaxed and less stressed. Of course, drinking after work can be a habit. Make sure that your drinking is limited to Friday or weekend treats before it becomes a daily habit.

2. It Helps Your Forget

That deadline you forgot at work? Your child’s special school project that you forgot to prepare for? Don’t worry, a glass of wine will help you forget about it! Of course, those are the kind of things you shouldn’t forget (especially when it comes to your kids!) BUT there are some things we’d like to forget…. like that embarrassing slip near the produce section at the grocery store today!

3. It Helps You Stress Less

I don’t know anything that helps me de-stress after a long day at work and with the kids than a good glass of chardonnay. One drink of red wine benefits the heart and blood vessels. Be careful though because the positive effects of wine happen to disappear after two drinks, according to researchers.
