I am in shock over this as I am a HUGE EOS fan and was surprised to hear that consumers are coming out and saying that beauty brand EOS’s Visibly Soft Lip Balm — the product that celebs like Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, and Britney Spears are obsessed with — caused their lips to bleed, crack, and blister. I let my 7 and 8 year old use EOS and have never had a problem! It has even helped when I was chapped!

The class-action lawsuit, was filed by Rachel Cronin on behalf of other plaintiffs, claims that “within hours, her lips became substantially dry and coarse, like sandpaper, causing her to apply more to achieve the results of becoming ‘sensationally smooth.'” But instead, the claim says, “they began severely cracking on the edges, causing flaking and bleeding from the cracks, and by the next day there was severe blistering and rashes, causing her to seek medical care on December 7, 2015. Her condition lasted for 10 days.”
The lawsuit shows that she’s not alone in her accusations: A large number of consumers, potentially in excess of hundreds of thousands, who have purchased and used the product across all gender, ages, and race, have experienced awful reactions to the product, consisting of mild to severe rashes, dryness, bleeding, blistering, cracking, and loss of pigmentation, lasting from a few days to a few months, and some consumers with long-lasting and perhaps permanent symptoms.
