Caregiver Charged After Toddler Dies After Being Left in Hot Car

A 50-year-old Toronto woman was scheduled to appear in court this morning following the death of a four year old boy who died after he was discovered in a hot car.

The boy was discovered unconscious in a car outside of a building by a cleaning crew, and immediately brought to the hospital where he died.

The woman, whose relationship to the boy hasn’t been determined, has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.
