Even though social media has been around for a good decade now, I’m not a huge fan of it. Sure, I used to be on that band wagon when sharing your social status was still a fun thing back in 2008, but not so much anymore. Now, I’m sure a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but social media has consumed a lot of people’s lives. They feel the need to post about every little detail about their families, themselves, what they ate, what they wore and their political preferences every damn day. And for me, it just became too much. That’s why I try to log out more than I log in.
Another reason why I don’t post much on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is because my kids are getting older. And quite frankly, they don’t want me posting pics of them for the world to see. Plus, there’s always the possibility that their photos might end up in the wrong hands. Just ask celebrity mom Chrissy Teigen. Fans have just discovered her daughter Luna’s photo was used for an article that had nothing to do with her.
Baby Luna is now the victim of her own social media controversy. Yikes!
