Dad’s ‘Rules for Dating My Daughters’ Actually Gets It Right

My friend recently had a baby girl and the first thing I said to him is: “You’ll have to get a guard dog now.” In hindsight, having read the case in the upcoming story, I feel a bit silly for saying that. I was just repeating what I’ve heard throughout my life – that fathers will instinctively protect their daughters from future hormonal boyfriends.

But one dad-of-five from Jonesborough, Tennessee wrote a message that has gone viral that questions my use of that hackneyed phrase.
