According to my parents, I was a slow eater as a child. In fact, they’ll even tell you that I was a painfully slow eater so much so that I would often make my mother late for work. Why? Because before working her PM shift, she wanted to make sure that I ate a proper dinner before she dropped me off at my babysitter’s place where I would most likely be fed an abundant amount of sweets.
