The older I get, the more I realize that I need to take care of my health. My first pregnancy helped me become more mindful of the things I put in my body. Before then, I was that twenty-something year old college kid who would eat pizza for breakfast, drank alcohol late at night and ate a chocolate brownie sundae like my life depended on it.
Fast-forward 15 years (OK, make that 20) and my body just isn’t the same. I don’t drink because I can’t deal with the morning after hangover that usually comes with a few glasses of wine. I also don’t eat chocolate brownie sundaes because it all goes to my waistline and refuses to go away. But I do try to take care of myself by eating a healthy diet. I’m also pretty obsessed with probiotics, as it tends to keep my gut from sticking out too much.
