Doctors Are Warning Moms to NOT Try This New Birthing Fad

Before the birth of my first daughter, I pretty much knew that I was going to do things the traditional way. By that I mean, wait until I either started having contractions or my water broke, have my husband rush me to the hospital, push for as many hours as I need to and welcome my beautiful baby in the world.

But I also knew that I didn’t want to try any birthing alternatives. For example, a home birth scared the crap out of me, as did a water birth. Maybe it’s because I’m not as informed as other moms or simply because I want to do what’s most comfortable for me, but I chose to give birth in a labor and delivery room with my general practitioner telling me to push just one more time before my baby’s head popped out.

Yet, there are parents out there who do like to try different alternatives when it comes to giving birth. Hey, we’ve all got different palates to try out something new, right? But unfortunately health professionals are warning moms not to try this very dangerous new fad. Here’s what you need to know.
