When we send our precious children to school everyday, we trust that school administrators, teachers and staff will treat our kids with the love and respect that they deserve, right? I mean, school is supposed to be a safe haven for children. It’s a place where they can dream big, learn new ideas and of course make lasting memories with their teachers, friends and peers.
The last thing you’d want to see if your child coming home crying after a troubling day at school? And certainly you wouldn’t want to see them humiliated with a “lunch money’ stamp on their arm too, right? Well that’s exactly what happened to Tara Chavez’s son when she noticed a stamp on her son’s wrist Thursday that read “lunch money” in capital letters when he returned from his day at Desert Cove Elementary School.
