You know, back in the day I wasn’t the biggest Eminem fan out there, but now that we’re getting little tidbits of his personal life (like what kind of AWESOME dad he is to his daughters), I’m really loving the guy. And by that I mean I truly respect him as an artist and all-around great guy.
According to Britain’s Daily Echo, the bad boy rapper sent a special package to a 10-year-old boy in England named Teejay Stainer. His parents posted a photo of their son with his prosthetic leg covered with the rapper’s image to their Facebook account last month in the hopes that Slim Shady would see it.
“My name is Teejay Stainer from Andover England. I wear a prosthetic leg. These are my Eminem legs I’ve had made. My wish is for Eminem to see them. Thank you,” the adorable little boy’s note read.
A few weeks later Eminem sent a special signed copy of his 2012 album Recovery as an ode to the recover the little boy has made. Teejay was told he might never walk when he was born without a calf bone in his right leg and credits the lyrics of hip hop star Eminem, also known as Slim Shady, for making him feel ‘brave’ enough to defy expectations.
The 42-year-old star, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, wrote: ‘To Teejay, I saw your pic and read your message! Thanks for the support!’
Awwww! We love to hear stories like these!
