When it comes to new trends, I’m always at least a few weeks behind on it. In fact, I didn’t know what water bottle flipping was until around Christmas time last year. My daughter is still trying to convince me to buy her a JoJo Siwa bow and all of the YouTube trends that my kids talk about usually go through one ear and comes out the other. And don’t even get me started on Snapchat. I’m not old (at least I don’t think I am) but I downloaded the social media app at least three times and I still don’t get it.
But, I will say that my kids have been asking me to buy them fidget spinners. To be honest with you, I really don’t know what purpose they serve, but kids have been playing with them in classrooms all across the country for weeks now. And according to experts, they might be hurting our kids as much as they are helping them when it comes to their concentration. Here’s why.
