Look, I’m not a wealthy person. I’ve had my ups and downs in life and I know how it feels to live paycheck to paycheck. I also know the scary feeling of not being able to afford healthcare or wondering just how much my hospital bill is going to be. It’s 2017 and we are still fighting about universal healthcare, right? And yes, I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it.
And while we adults are trying to figure out this system, if there’s anyone who should be given free healthcare coverage always, it’s our children. Sorry, but I strongly believe that no child should suffer or be denied healthcare benefits. That’s why a lot of people are pretty surprised over this tweet from Joe Walsh criticizing Jimmy Kimmel’s “sad story” about his son’s open-heart surgery.
Is Joe Walsh wrong for speaking up?
