Game of Thrones is by far one of the most popular series on television right now. I can’t tell you how many people always talk (and give away spoilers) about the show on Facebook because would happen almost every Sunday. Simply put, my friends and family are obsessed with it.
And you want to know something else that a lot of people are (secretly) obsessed with, too? It’s Disney. You either love the franchise with your entire life (to the point where you’d consider christening your child at one of their theme parks) or couldn’t care less about it.
But could you imagine what would happen if an illustrator took your favorite Game of Thrones characters and Disneyfied them for the ultimate mash up? Well, that’s exactly what happened when the creative minds of Combo Estudio made a few ‘Game of Thrones characters and reimagined them to look like Disney princesses, princes, villains and more.
Seriously, I don’t know if I’m looking at Oberyn or Daenerys in these photos or if they are characters from Disney movies that I simply haven’t noticed before.
Either way, the result is mind blowing. You’ve got to check these out!
Here are 10 Game of Thrones characters reimagined as Disney Characters!
1. Oberyn & The Mountain
Many fans know that Prince Oberyn was the younger brother of Prince Doran Martell and Princess Elia Martell, and like most members of House Martell, he is referred to as a “Prince” instead of a “Lord.” And while we are at it, Gregor is a freakishly large man and for this he is often called the Mountain That Rides. And yes, Oberyn can totally pass a Disney prince here! Seriously, I wouldn’t know the difference.
2. Lord Varys
In ‘Game of Thrones,’ Varys is known as a master of disguise. Along with Littlefinger, he is always aware of what goes on in Court. With that being said, how come the animators at Disney haven’t given him a part time job? This guy can totally work a new role in ‘Mulan 2,’ right?
Princess of House Targaryen, Daenerys lives in exile in Essos with her advisors and dragons. She is not immune to fire, but she is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. And yes, she is one kick-ass babe. I can definitely see her star in a stand alone princess movie. I’d buy her Halloween costume.
