It’s a collaborative effort!
When I was breastfeeding my two children, the last thing I wanted to do was clean my house, go to the supermarket do buy groceries or get out of bed for that matter. Instead, I preferred to spend quality time with my baby during those first few precious weeks and just relax and enjoy my downtime by watching Netflix marathons or getting a manicure. I gave birth to a baby after all and needed a little “me” time before life was about to get real hectic.
Plus, I didn’t sleep very much and thankfully my husband took the helm when it came to helping out with our everyday household chores. Now, he probably didn’t do it the way I’d hope, but he sure did put in an effort and I was forever grateful for that. And that’s why every partner should step up to the plate and help out a new mom when they have their hands tied while either breastfeeding or bottle-feeding. Honestly, this is what separates the men from the boys!
