The damage from a sunburn lasts longer than you think
I live in a state in which the sun shines bright almost all year around. We’re fortunate to have such wonderful weather but at the same time I’m a HUGE stickler when it comes to protecting my children from the harmful UV rays during peak afternoon hours.
As much as I encourage them to play outside and swim in our pool, I always (and I mean ALWAYS) protect them with sunscreen. Because one of the most important things you can do while your kids are outside playing, is allowing your kids to get sunburned. Their pain is your pain and no one wants to see their kids cry because they feel and look like a crimson colored lobster!
Well now, there’s a new report that says there’s no such thing as a safe tan anymore. In fact, if your skin is tanned at all, it’s a sign of damage, which can ultimately lead to skin cancer.
