Her foster parents have been fighting a custody battle for four years.
Lexi was almost two when the Page family welcomed her into their lives. She was in foster care and the Pages have been trying to adopt her ever since. Due to the fact that she is part Native American, the Indian Child Welfare Act that works to keep Native American children with their tribal relatives has kept the Pages and Lexi's biological extended family in a four year bitter custody battle.
This week, the court ordered Lexi, now six, to move to Utah to live with her biological extended family members. The parting images with the only family she has ever known are heartbreaking.
