Gwen Stefani Proves Being a Mom Can Be a Grind, Even for a Famous Rock Star

Do you ever wonder what it’s like to have a rock star parent? I do. From time to time I’ll look at Mick Jagger and think that to his kids he’s just “Dad.” Not the lead singer of the Rolling Stones but just their father. I once tried to get an interview with Iman’s oldest daughter Zulekha Haywood when she was promoting a book that she wrote. One of my questions would have been: “What on earth is it like to have David Bowie as your stepdad?”

I mean, really. Can you imagine what it would be like to be sitting at the breakfast table eating cornflakes with Bowie? Or your mom Diana Ross standing over your shoulder making sure you do your homework? In a recent interview Gwen Stefani gave some insight into what it’s like being a rock star mom. And her household sounds surprisingly normal.
