Supermodel Angie Everhart is arguably one of the most recognizable and beautiful red heads in the world, she has graced dozens of top magazine covers, and been the face of national campaigns. On July 17th, 09 Angie was surrounded by friends, her mom Ginnie, and the Hot Moms Club as she celebrates her most exciting role…. becoming a mother. Angie didn’t want a full, over-the-top baby shower, instead opting for an intimate “sprinkle” with her closest friends and people who have supported her (a single mom) throughout her pregnancy and who have vowed to be there for her when her son (Kayden) is born (he is due any day).
Sweetharts sweet shoppe in Sherman Oaks was the ideal setting for the party, Angie’s friend and Sweetharts owner, Melissa Joan Hart came by to say hello. It was a warm sunny afternoon and guests created their own refreshing sundaes with yummy toppings. The table was decorated with custom plates from Pink Piglet Designs, Milena’s candles and blue and white jelly beans. There were a lot of laughs, and fun moments and there were some tears and touching tributes as well.
90210 actress Maeve Quinlan gets emotional when she says, “Angie and I have been friends for over 14 years and during that time have shared many life changing experiences together, side by side,…dating, marriage, divorce, careers…and thru everything Angie has always been a rock for me and hopefully me for her, we have a bond, I am so blessed to be at her side during the most exciting time of her life-ever. Kayden is truly a very lucky little boy having this amazing woman as his mother”
Actress Kristy Swanson adds “I am so proud of Angie! She is so strong, and she will be a wonderful mother as her own mother was to her. She has a fantastic family and friends. She knows I will be there for whatever she may need.”
Angie was moved by the gifts she received, she especially loved gifts in her favorite and signature rocker theme like the Dylbug custom Kayden shirt, black leather diaper bag by Tinky Bebe and Bical Grippers skull shoes. Also the practical gifts like Angelcare Monitor, Ameda Breast Pump, Adiri Inc. Bottles, The Ultimate Green Store Moses Basket and Organic/Natural Goodies and Bamboo Belly Bandit that she took with her to the hospital. Receiving her Dreami Bassinet, Maxi-Cosi Car Seat and Quinny Buzz Stroller made being a mom became real for her and that was the fist time, “it hit me”, while she pushed the stroller around.
Because her friends have done so much to help her throughout her pregnancy, Angie gifted them with Waxing Poetic Jewelry initial necklaces, D&Y scarves, egg by susan laza jackets and COSABELLA lace thongs in an OmniPeace bag that represents the commitment to end end extreme poverty by 2025.
The giving didn’t stop there… Seventh Generation generously donated cases of much needed diapers to both Angie and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
It was truly a fun and magical day, everything a baby shower, oops, “sprinkle” should be; friends, family, love, support, excitement and giving. A Special Thanks to Michelle Fryer for all the hard work she put into organizing the day!
The safari themed nursery is full of life thanks to Timree Gold, who created a custom Mural with a monkey upside down in a tree holding a look-a-like Eddie Van Halen guitar and a giraffe with headphones. Custom Giraffe print bedding was created by designer Amber Schwingle from RockerByeBaby, which can be purchased at littlepeanutboutique.com and Glider from Best Chairs.
