Iranian Baby Who Was Denied Entry to U.S. Admitted to Portland Hospital

Fatemeh Reshad, who is 4 months old, was initially denied entry to the United States under President Donald Trump’s travel restrictions. The Iranian girl finally arrived at an Oregon hospital Tuesday.

Iranian doctors told Fatemeh Reshad’s parents weeks ago that she needed at least one urgent surgery to correct serious heart defects, or she will die, according to her uncle, Samad Taghizadeh, a U.S. citizen who lives in Portland.

She landed in Portland and doctors had to work quickly to restore her health.
