Majority of Women Aren’t Hitting Healthy Weight Goals During Pregnancy

What’s the one thing you usually hear about women and their weight during pregnancy? Aside from jokes about “eating for two,” it seems like every other study that comes out has been about how women are gaining too much weight during pregnancy.

Everywhere you look, it’s a new study showing that women are getting too fat during their pregnancies and their babies are going to be obese for life and no, you can not give into that ice cream craving!

I admit that those types of studies are hard to see, because I know full well what it’s like to feel like no matter what you do, the weight just keeps creeping up when you’re pregnant. It’s discouraging and depressing and then, just when you’re feeling at your worst, another study says you have to think only happy thoughts during pregnancy or else!

Sigh. Motherhood is hard, right from the start and yet another study has found that even the opposite end of the spectrum is true about women’s weight during pregnancy.
