MLB Vet Keith Lockhart’s 15-Year-Old Son Braves 7th Surgery After Baseball Injury

Baseball may be one of America’s most iconic and beloved past times, but for one family, it has swiftly become somewhat of a nightmare.

Keith Lockhart is a former baseball player with the Atlanta Braves and his teenage son, Jason, was following in his father’s footsteps, showing off a lot of talent and prowess with the sport. Jason had been playing in a tournament last month when, tragically, he was struck in the face with a baseball.

It’s hard to imagine how lobbing a baseball can inflict so much injury, but at the high level playing of the sport that Jason was at, the baseball was traveling with incredible speed and force. The impact of the ball on his face was so severe that he was eventually taken to the hospital and placed on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit.

Since then, Jason has undergone his 7th surgery since the accident.
