By the time she got it checked out, Hallford was 32 weeks pregnant and was shocked to discover that she had brain cancer. And not only was it cancer, but it was a very rare, very aggressive form of cancer that doctors couldn’t even diagnose. Experts from all over the country flew in to try to help her, but to no avail. The doctors told her that her best shot was to induce delivery ASAP so she could begin treatment. On Nov. 17, 2007, she received her first miracle, when her son was born at only 33 weeks and was able to go home after two days, never even requiring time in the NICU.
