Taylor was told that her gap was five fingers apart — a pretty severe DR diagnosis, but definitely not uncommon for being nine months pregnant. If you’re wondering if you have DR, it’s easy to do a self-check: lay on your back and lift your head up slightly as if you are doing a sit-up. If your stomach cones up instead of going flat, it’s a sign you have DR.

You should also feel right above and below your belly button and you can literally feel the gap between your stomach muscles. It’s not a good feeling to realize that your abs are on the side, instead of in the middle, where they are supposed to be.
