My kids are earlier risers. Even during the summer months, for some reason or another they love to wake up between 6:30 and 7:00am. I’m sure though by the same school starts, they’ll refuse to cooperate but on lazy summer days and weekends they are up at the crack of dawn. It drives me nuts, but there’s not much that I can do about it.
Yet, on the odd day that they do sleep in past 8:00am (a rarity) I do get a little worried. I’ll even go into their rooms to make sure that they are breathing (it’s something that I’ve been doing since they were babies!). That’s why I completely understand one mother who experienced the worst possible feeling when her daughter refused to wake up from a nap. I mean, no parent ever wants to be in that position. But that’s exactly what happened after her daughter had a long day outside and now the mother is warning parents to not make the same mistake she made. Here’s what you need to know.
