Mom’s Post About ‘Running on Empty’ Was the Message Moms Didn’t Realize They Needed to Hear

It’s that time of year again… hectic mornings getting the kids ready for school, packing lunches, and then after-school extra-curricular activities, sports, dance lessons, etc. Gah!

From September through to Christmas, it will be back-to-back activities, running from one place to another, stressed about making deadlines and appointments, picking and dropping off kids. Then, add to that any other issues or problems that tend to creep up, you’re spent.

This mom’s post about running on empty – literally and figuratively – struck a chord for me, and many other moms.

“I constantly run on fumes, hoping if I can just make it to the next place, do the next thing, I can possibly fill up my tank,” Whitney Fleming writes in a Facebook post.
