Moms Warns Parents of Potential Risks on Popular App

Social media and apps are all the rage among tweens and tweens. My 10-year-old has an Instagram account, and it’s set to private.

He’s only permitted to have people he knows – other classmates and friends – on his Instagram. While I monitor it often, he tells me himself that strangers – adult strangers – are requesting to be his friend. He blocks them immediately, but it still makes me worry.

While you may trust your kids to use social apps responsibly, there are times when a stranger can appear to be just another child trying to make friends online.

There can be shady users on popular apps and this is one your kids use!
