San Antonio Vegan Eats . So I’m back in Alamo City! This time it was just a quick trip but long enough to be able to report on some new finds! If you missed my part 1 and part 2 San Antonio write ups, be sure to check those out after you read up on my latest jaunt in ol’ San Antone!
So, I would love to start by giving props to The Toilet Seat Museum. Yes, you read this correctly ; ) As seen in the photo, I’m ecstatic to be visiting with 90 year old Barney, creator and curator of his own off-the-wall museum. If you love kooky Americana and activities that are off the beaten path, this is your place. plus, you’ll fall in love Barney. The sweetest man you’ll ever meet, you’ll want to clear your schedule and spend all day with him! His handmade collection of over 1,000 toilet seats spans 4 decades. The retired teacher and former plumber is a wonderful artist and quite creative in capturing moments in history as well as his life via his art covered toilet seats. I’m holding up his Colombian seat, made in honor of guests who had visited him from there. Being of Colombian decent, he had me sign it ; ) Barney will make you feel like his very special guest but you will leave knowing you have met a very special person! be sure to call him ahead of time so he can open up at his own pace ; )
