Taking a pregnancy test is a stressful situation. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been waiting far too long to get pregnancy, if you’re surprised with how short of a time it too, or if you’re completely caught off guard. It’s stressful because the results will change your life. If you wanted a baby and you’re not — you are changed. You are changed if you wanted a baby and you are pregnant. And all variations of taking a test will cause some flood of emotions after.
Traditional pregnancy tests have been the same for a really long time. They’re plastic, awkward, and pretty big if you’re trying to be discrete. And that’s not the only problem. Pregnancy tests are not exactly good for the environment and with scientists pulling to ban far smaller portions of plastic like micro beads or glitter, what about these things?
They’re like the size of a tampon, but hard plastic. Even if you get the smaller, usually cheaper ones, they add up. If you’re anything like me — and many other people who have tried to get pregnant — you’ve got a collection.
