Accidental Newborn Death Prompts Questions Into Safety of Co-Sleeping

After having a baby, those first few weeks are a complete blur. If you’re breastfeeding, your baby will be literally on you every two to three hours, even at night.

That’s why it’s so important to get help so mom has time to sleep and recover from childbirth. The saying “sleep when the baby sleeps” is good advice, because new moms need extra time to sleep.

Babies wake up at night to feed too, and newborns may wake up two to three times at night to nurse. Mom may find it challenging to stay awake during night feedings.

Now, there is a new warning to parents to remind them of staying awake during night feedings.
