Parents Plead for Help for Their Baby as Doctors Order Them to Shut off His Life Support

In what sounds like something out of a horror movie, parents Thomas Evans and Kate Hames are fighting for their son’s life — against the wishes of his doctor.

Their infant son, Alfie, whom the couple say was born perfectly healthy, is currently 13 months old and a patient at Alderhay Hospital in Liverpool in the PICU unit, where the doctors want to take him off life support. But his parents are at odds with the doctors, insisting that their son is displaying signs that he is still fighting and alert. Even more shocking, Alfie doesn’t have an official diagnosis, making the parents believe that there is still something they are missing.
