A Sign of Something Wrong
On their crowdfunding page, Evans explained that the couple noticed very early on that Alfie wasn’t meeting developmental milestones at an average page started displaying odd symptoms, such as not being able to lift his head or eat his hand. “We also noticed he was doing a jerking movement with his hands, arms and legs and eyes would roll up,” Evans explained. “He always had his hands clenched into a fist too.”
The concerned parents took him into the doctor’s for a total of three times, but the “doctors said he was lazy and a late developer,” Evans explained. As the months went by, their boy seemed to progress “backward instead of forwards” Evans wrote, doing more jerking until finally, he got a severe chest infection and was hospitalized.
