Many people have a hard time believing there’s an alternative way of parenting than the way they do it. In fact, many people love to take to their computers or smartphones to judge others who parent in a way they don’t agree. No parent is exempt from that judgement, but some get it worse than others.
Lara Bazelon is a law professor and contributor to Slate Magazine who recently wrote an article about how co-parenting after divorce is perfect for her, and naturally she’s being judged pretty harshly for it. Because to be a good mother means you spending every waking moment with your kids and heaven forbid you actually admit to looking forward to time away from them.
Why are people so quick to judge?
