There’s a reason that toddlers love the song, “Old MacDonald” – young kids love animals. They will learn about animals from books, songs and their own pets.

But your young kids aren’t likely to meet many animals until you take them to the farm, or the zoo.

The youngest toddlers can learn from a visit to the zoo, even if they just look and listen to the animals from a distance. But showing a young toddler a wild animal up close and personal? That might be a little too dangerous.
