The rumours had been circulating for months, but now it’s official, Sandra Bullock is a mom of 2!
The actress confimed to PEOPLE magazine that she’s adopted a 3 year old girl from Louisiana who was in foster care, who’s name is Laila.
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here.”
“I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.”
Sandra says her journey to adopt again began about 3 years ago and one of the main driving forces was her 5 year old son Louis, whom she adopted in 2010.
“Louis spearheaded this whole journey.”
Sandra told the magazine that the siblings are now inseparable, but they knew that they had to take their time with Laila to ensure she felt safe and secure.
“I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere.”
Sandra also says her new daughter has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.”
The actress posed for photos for PEOPLE (photos taken by her new love Bryan Randall) in hopes that she can bring some awareness to the hundreds of thousands of children in foster care in the US, saying “My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding,” she says. “That’s a family.”
Congratulations to her and family! What wonderful news!
