High Schools Are Warning Parents About the Netflix Show 13 Reasons Why

I recently finished binged watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and my first thought about the show was this: how am I going to manage homeschooling my two children during their high school years later on? Yes, because the show really did scare the crap out of me. Sure, I managed to survive my own high school years, but these days the game is a little different: you’ve got more mean girls, more problems, more access to all the vices in the world, and perhaps the biggest problem of all: smart phones and social media.

Now, without giving too much away, I will say that a lot of critics have slammed the show for apparently romanticizing teen suicide.

And now high schools across the country are warning parents about the controversial show.
