One of the biggest decisions that new parents think about for hours is what that baby’s name is going to be. There is often a lot of back and fourth, checking with family members, combing through curated baby name posts and trying everything out. Some narrow it down further when they find out the baby’s sex and others feel they’re safe to have a “short list” until they meet their baby and can give that final once over before signing the birth certificate.
Then there are moms that take their time. Because we can’t deny it’s a big decision. We don’t want that name to haunt the kid for their whole life. We don’t want to experience baby name regret or have to think about changing it up later.
But, more often than not, we expect the baby to be given their name before they leave the hospital, if not sooner. That’s why people were a little confused as to why Teen Mom star, Kailyn Lowry, said she was still figuring out the name for her 3rd child, a boy she brought into the world 8 weeks ago.
