The Rise in C-Section Births May Be Changing Human Evolution

Caesarean or c-sections are much more common today than in the past. In fact, in the United States, about one in three births happen by C-section, a rate that has risen dramatically over the past few decades.

More mothers now need surgery to deliver a baby due to their narrow pelvis size, according to a study. The regular use of Caesarean sections is having an impact on human evolution, say scientists.
