I’ll say this: my body isn’t perfect. For the longest time I dealt with plenty of hang ups about my body but I’ve realized that with age, I’m beginning to care less. I’m no supermodel, thank you very much and I don’t need anyone trying to turn me into one.
With that being said, it seems like moms everywhere are getting unsolicited advice all the time. It doesn’t matter if we are waiting in the school pick up line, Starbucks, or shopping at Target, someone somewhere thinks it’s ok to offer us advice on how to lose weight or be “bikini-ready” for the summer season. Barf! Here’s one person in particular that wants everyone to stop preying on postpartum women. And I agree with every word she has to say.
