OMG. This sure does make me feel cheap (and a little bit lazy) for ordering my children’s Halloween costumes on Amazon this year. You might as well cancel all of your Halloween costume contest plans because Corrine Kurtz of Commerce City, Colorado wins them all. I’m telling you, there’s just no point in trying because this mama went the distance… and more!

According to NBC 9 News, Kurtz Kurtz made C-3P0 and an R2-D2 costumes and posted a video of them showing the costumes off on social media.

She said she used her old iPhone and loaded sound effects from C-3PO and R2-D2 onto it. Then, she and her husband connected the old iPhone to her husband’s FitBit, where he controls all of the sounds. Kurtz said there are 15 sound effects loaded onto the old iPhone.

“It took me three weeks to make them,” Kurtz said. “Working on them several hours a day, and into the wee hours of the night.”

WOW. Talk about talent and dedication. This just goes to prove that mothers CAN do it all. Just give them a few loose household items and a good cup of strong coffee and anything can happen. I absolutely love this!
