I’m the kind of person who has a HARD time asking my parents for money. Now given the fact that I’m in my mid-thirties and married with two children, I really don’t have a reason to ask my parents for anything unless it’s for the kids (because hello, tennis and violin lessons!). Still, I don’t remember the last time I flat out asked for anything and I don’t even think I have the guts to asked even if I were in financial trouble. I’m that person who will take my credit card out of my wallet and argue with my parents in front of the cashier or waiter, insisting that I pay the bill each time (even though they always manage to stronghold me out of it – they are my parents after all).
Now, when it comes to parents still supporting their adult children, I’ve heard stories of families moving in with the grandparents to help make ends meet. And quite frankly, there’s nothing wrong with that as we’ve all have our fair share of ups in downs in life. But would you expect your parents to pay off your debt for you?!?!
That might be the case between actress Tori Spelling and her mother Candy.
